Meet your Regional Development Officer

Wendy Suddes is our Development Officer for the North and Yorkshire Regions. Wendy has been on the Society staff since 2000 and is responsible for all aspects of Society work in the Region.

Any queries you may have should be taken up with Wendy - she welcomes any suggestions or ideas you may have.

Wendy has owned horses all her life, but her background is mainly in Agriculture, she has worked throughout the UK and also lived in the USA for two years.

Wendy now lives near West Auckland, County Durham but will soon move to Hunwick, also in County Durham.

Wendy is a hobby breeder of Sport Horses alongside her dad Pete. They hope to one day, breed an international horse - and currently have several homebred youngsters at home.

Assistant DO

Ellen Watt will be known to members who have visited the BHS stand at shows. Ellen now also helps in the office on Friday afternoons.

Ellen was born in and still resides in County Durham, living with her husband, one horse (Monty) and two dogs. By profession she is a qualified nurse (Mental Health and General) and currently works as a Community Psychiatric Nurse.

Ellen joined the B.H.S. in 1989 in order to access training. Ellen's first horse was 'Trigger' the Cob, who was closely followed by a Thoroughbred Mare. Ellen quickly r
