Meet your Regional Development
Officer
|
|
Wendy
Suddes is our Development Officer for the North and Yorkshire Regions.
Wendy has been on the Society staff since 2000 and is responsible
for all aspects of Society work in the Region.
Any queries you may have should be taken up with
Wendy - she welcomes any suggestions or ideas you may have.
Wendy has owned horses all her life, but her background is mainly
in Agriculture, she has worked throughout the UK and also lived in
the USA for two years.
Wendy now lives near West Auckland, County Durham but will soon
move to Hunwick, also in County Durham.
Wendy is a hobby breeder of Sport Horses alongside her
dad Pete. They hope to one day, breed an international horse - and
currently have several homebred youngsters at home. |

Wendy is BHSII(SM) qualified
and hopes to compete some more and complete the 'I' examination, before she is too old to do so!
Loves:
Sunshine, John Cusack, chocolate, and time at home.
Hates: Never having
enough hours in a day!

Ellen Watt
will be known to members who have visited the BHS stand at shows. Ellen
now also helps in the office on Friday afternoons.
Ellen was born in
and still resides in County Durham, living with her husband, one
horse (Monty) and two dogs. By profession she is a qualified nurse
(Mental Health and General) and currently works as a Community Psychiatric
Nurse.
Ellen joined the B.H.S. in 1989 in order to access training.
Ellen's first horse was 'Trigger' the Cob, who was closely followed by a Thoroughbred
Mare. Ellen quickly realised
that Thoroughbreds were not to her liking and subsequently purchased Monty
- a half-bred.
She has worked as a B.H.S. volunteer
for about 3 years and calls it her hobby as she enjoys it so much. Ellen is
also a member of British Riding Clubs and holds the position of secretary
to the recently formed Tees Valley Riding Club.
Ellen's other hobbies include: following the eventing circuit with a friend
who events, walking her dogs, her 87 year old father and films!!

Suzanne Sharp is a lives in Northumberland.
Suzanne recently made a career change and works as a vetinary nurse.
Suzanne helps Wendy in the office when she can, but also works
voluntarily as Secretary and Press Officer for the North Regional
Committee.
Suzanne has been a groom and general dogsbody for her daughters
Naomi and Hayley for "too long" and now they have grown
up, she is keen to develop her competitive experience -
and is currently seeking her perfect equine partner.
Suzanne owns Patience and rides every
day. She is studying in her spare time for the BHS Stage
3 exam.
Loves: Labradors - hopes to get a puppy soon!
